Our mission is to empower young drivers with the skills and knowledge to navigate evolving roads safely, and to instill confidence and responsibility that can be applied in other aspects of their lives. How?
- Empowerment-Based Curriculum:
Driving is more than just a practical skill—it serves as a platform for teens to explore and develop their autonomy. Our curriculum and training is designed to empower teens, through cultivating confidence and resilience. We take a non-fear based teaching approach to emphasize the importance of responsibility and accountability that come with the newfound independence of driving. - Community – Oriented Programs:
We view driving as a mobility tool that offers greater access to academic or professional opportunities. Consequently, driving can contribute to self-sufficiency and economic advancement for individuals and families. For these reasons, DriveSafe collaborates with various partners and populations to leverage our expertise and driving services to accommodate unique sets of needs. Some of these projects include working with the Colorado Department of Human Services, local trauma centers, youth experiencing homelessness, foster care programs, and the Colorado Department of Transportation. - Destigmatizing Mental Health:
We are witnessing a higher prevalence of students with conditions such as anxiety and ADHD today than ever before. While these conditions have always existed, the support networks are still catching up. At DriveSafe, we train our staff to understand and cater to various needs and learning styles in the classroom and behind the wheel. By providing an open and supportive learning environment, we ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive behind the wheel. - Expanding Reach:
To better serve families across Colorado, DriveSafe is expanding its presence into Castle Rock and Northern Colorado regions. By bringing our comprehensive curriculum to these communities, we aim to reach more new drivers and instill values of responsibility and safety.
