KIPP Colorado Public Schools is a network of tuition-free, public charter schools located in the Far Northeast and Southwest Denver, spanning from ECE to 12th grade and beyond with our unique KIPP Forward post-secondary support program. OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

KIPP NORTHEAST ELEMENTARY
Founded in 2015, KIPP Northeast Elementary (KNE) in Far Northeast Denver serves 488 students from ECE-4 to 4th grade, aiming to prepare future community leaders through an excellent and equitable education. At KNE, students embrace core values of growth, love, pursuit of justice, and community.

KNE’s holistic approach to education focuses on the whole child, with play-based learning experiences designed to address cognitive development and foster character growth. The school’s commitment to restorative practices and social-emotional learning enhances equity in the student experience. Beyond academics, KNE offers a variety of elective classes and extracurricular activities, including social justice, art, dance, music, and Spanish, promoting a well-rounded education for all students.

KIPP SUNSHINE PEAK ELEMENTARY
Founded in 2018, KIPP Sunshine Peak Elementary (KSPE) in Southwest Denver is committed to providing an excellent and equitable education for its 180 students from ECE-3 to 4th grade. Rooted in values of Love, Honor, Curiosity, Activism, and Growth, KSPE fosters a supportive and inclusive school family where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At KSPE, students have access to two language pathways, ensuring they develop proficiency in both their heritage language and their non-dominant language. The One-Way Dual Language Program caters to students with a Spanish language background, while the Spanish World Language Program welcomes students interested in exploring Spanish regardless of their background.

In addition to a robust core curriculum, KSPE offers elective classes in social justice, art, dance, music, and Spanish, along with various clubs and before and after-school care options. The school’s history is deeply rooted in community input, reflecting a commitment to providing a high-quality bilingual education and early childhood education program.

OUR MIDDLE SCHOOLS

KIPP NORTHEAST DENVER MIDDLE SCHOOL
KIPP Northeast Denver Middle School (KNDMS) has proudly called Far Northeast Denver home since 2011, currently serving 455 students. KNDMS focuses on rigorous, culturally responsive education. Students engage in diverse subjects daily, including reading, math, science, and social justice, with additional support for Multilingual Language Learners. KNDMS offers various extracurricular activities, sports, and clubs for holistic development.

Beyond providing exceptional academic opportunities, KNDMS has a profound impact on the lives of its students, both during their time at the school and beyond. Research indicates that attending both a KIPP middle school and high school significantly enhances college enrollment, persistence, and attainment rates. Students who matriculate through KIPP schools are nearly twice as likely to graduate from a four year college and are 67% more likely to enroll in college compared to their peers. KIPP SUNSHINE PEAK ACADEMY

Founded in 2002, KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy (KSPA) is a tuition-free, public charter middle school in Southwest Denver educating nearly 400 students from 5th to 8th grade. KSPA is dedicated to providing a loving and rigorous educational experience in partnership with families, fostering skills and confidence for a purposeful life. Guided by core values of belonging, excellence, advocacy, courage, and belief, the school ensures every student experiences the highest levels of academic, character, and social emotional learning.

Attending both a KIPP middle school and high school significantly boosts college enrollment, persistence, and attainment. KIPP students are nearly twice as likely to persist and graduate from a four year college compared to peers, with a 67% higher college enrollment rate.

OUR HIGH SCHOOLS AND POST-SECONDARY PROGRAM

KIPP NORTHEAST DENVER LEADERSHIP ACADEMY (KNDLA)
Established in 2015 in Far Northeast Denver, KNDLA is a space for academic excellence and well rounded scholars, serving 550 students from grades 9 through 12. Our commitment to developing strong leaders and lifelong learners creates an environment where all students challenge themselves in Advanced Placement classes and myriad electives. KNDLA has a strong athletic program, Regis Groff Fusion, which competes in the Denver Prep League. Offering a diverse range of sports, including cross country, soccer, cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, and E-sports, KNDLA provides students with a well rounded high school experience. Earlier this school year, the Regis Groff boy’s soccer team made it to the state semi-final championships and the girl’s cheerleading team went to the state championships!

KIPP DENVER COLLEGIATE HIGH SCHOOL (KDCHS)
KDCHS has been an academically excellent school in Southwest Denver since 2009, currently serving 500 students in grades 9 through 12. Our commitment to fostering critical thinking, self-discipline, and leadership skills prepares students for college through our AP for All program, where 100% of 10th-12th grade students participate in at least one Advanced Placement class. This initiative not only prepares students for college but also positions them to earn valuable college credits which can help lower the cost of college attendance.

KDCHS also has a highly competitive sports program, competing with the top high schools in the state. We offer Cross Country, Baseball, E-sports, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, and Boys and Girls Volleyball. This past year, our boy’s soccer team made it to the playoffs. KDCHS proudly ranks as the 6th best high school in Denver and an impressive 101st in the nation by US News & World Reports, reflecting our dedication to academic excellence and character development.
